PAIR OF PAINT DECORATED ARROWBACK SIDE CHAIRS. Mid 19th- century. Possibly Pennsylvania dutch. The rectangular crest rail with floral paint decoration above four arrowback slats flanked by cylindrical styles joined to a shaped plank seat with rolled seat rail on cylindrical simulated bamboo legs joined by a conforming box stretcher. Each decorated on a green ground, faux-grained, and with yellow trim outline. SIZE: 33-1/2″h. of back. CONDITION: Structurally very good, retaining original pained and decorated surfaces showing overall wear. 9-20086 (200-400)
