EARLY AMERICAN PINE AND POPLAR SETTLE IN BLUE/GRAY PAINT. Last quarter 18th century, probably Pennsylvania. This rare and fine example with lollipop arms centering a deep plank seat, the base fitted with three aligned deep drawers. The rectangular plank back joined to down sloping arms; the ends cut out. The rear of the base canted. Now in an early blue/gray paint over original Prussian blue. SIZE: 41″ h x 72-1/2″ l x 20″ d. CONDITION: Structurally good with old repairs to bottom of side panels and with old losses to front supports and to central drawer. Drawers retain original knobs. 9-21791 (3,500-4,500)
