ANCIENT ROMAN TEAR VIAL. Fine example of an ancient Roman tear vial has round bulbous body, long slender neck and slightly flaring lip. Vial has very light iridescence. This is the type of glass that gave Louis Comfort Tiffany his inspiration to create favrile glass. SIZE: 4-1/8″ l. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones.
