MICHAEL AYRTON (British, 1921-1975) “ROCK”. Sand and oil on masonite scene shows a multicolored rock ledge with a body of water. An old label on reverse indicates that it is from the Matthiesen Gallery, London, 1963. Also on reverse is the original sales invoice dated 1963 from the same gallery. Housed in a modern gilt frame with linen and gilt liner. SIZE: 10″h x 14-1/2″w. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94159 (2,500-4,000)
