ROBERT CLEMINSON (British, 19th Century) THE PROTECTOR OF THE HIGHLANDS. Large oil on canvas wildlife scene shows a central majestic stag flanked by two does, one with fawn. The family stands atop a grassy and rock bluff overlooking mountains and valley. Signed lower left “R Cleminson 1873″. Housed in a molded wood silver gilt frame. SIZE: 30-1/2″ x 50-1/2”. CONDITION: Patch to upper left sky, inpainting. Needs some attention to repaired areas. Otherwise good. 9-93694 (5,000-7,000)
