GEORGE STANLEY (American, 20th Century) NATIVE AMERICAN. Oil on board depicts a southwest Indian, perhaps a Navajo with feather in hair and playing a drum. Mountains in the background with beautiful blue and white puffy skies. Signed, “GEO. STANLEY” in lower right. Housed in an attractive hand-made wooden frame carved and painted to simulate birch trees. Probably early to mid 20th century, a neat painting. SIZE: 17” x 13” w incl frame. SIGHT SIZE: 12” x 8-1/2”.
