2 VICTORIAN OAK SPOOL CABINETS. Late 19th century. The first and largest is a “KELSEY & CO/MERIDEN CONN USA” example, the cabinet fitted with eleven specimen drawers, ten of which are compartmentalized. The second, a 6-drawer example, five of which have glass fronts, the sixth drawer with gilt lettering “RICHARDSON SILK CO.” applied on a solid drawer front, the cabinet with molded top and plinth. SIZE: 1st: 26-3/4″ h. x 27″ w. x 18″ d. 2nd: 14-3/4″ h. x 23″ w. x 16″ d. CONDITION: Both retain old original surfaces. All intact but showing signs of extensive wear, including discoloration to wood surfaces. 9-99128 (400-600)
