LARGE HAND WRITTEN “LIST OF VESSELS BUILT BY GOSS & SAWYER, BATH, MAINE”. The broadside type format in vertical form with title on top and a listing of 123 ships showing the date of measurement, official number, rig type, name and specific size measurements. The dating of the ships from 1866-1881. The types of ships include Schooner, Brig, Bark, Barge, Sloop, Yacht, Barketine, Steamer, and Ship. This piece probably housed in one of the offices of warehouses of the company. Housed in a carved Victorian black walnut frame with gilt liner. Goss & Sawyer was one of the most successful American ship building companies in the world in the late 19th Century. SIZE: Sight: 54″ x 26-1/2″. Overall: 59″ x 31-1/2″.
