WALTHER SCHMARJE (GERMAN 1872- 1971) A STATUE OF A DRUMMER BOY. Depicting a drummer boy in a military tunic with high collar in the act of drumming while marching. On a rectangular bronze stepped plinth in which is incised the artist’s signature. SIZE: h. 22″ x l. 12″ x w. 4-1/2″ CONDITION: With old surfaces and good dark patina, the left drumstick slightly bent and with nicks. Otherwise very good. 9-99037 (1,000-1,500)
