GEORGES LAUGEE (French, 1853-1928) SUNSET CONVERSATION. Large oil on canvas French landscape shows two young women at the end of a long day resting before their walk home. A line of ladies with bundled harvest train off into the distance. The sun has half set and has sparked the sky with a radiance of yellow light. Other colors include purple and blue in the sky. Signed lower left. Housed in a magnificent modern gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 36-1/2″ x 26″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-93742 (20,000-30,000)
