SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1879 TRAP DOOR RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. 32-5/8” bbl, matching bayonet with metal hanger. “SWP” cartouche is dated 1886 on the left side of the stock. SN 360455 CONDITION: 50% blue turning brown overall, small crack on stock at rear of lockplate, otherwise normal dents and scratches. Action is good, bore is fair. The bayonet has about 75% blue. Scabbard is bare. Hanger is flaked and fragile. 4-48832 FS180 (500-800)
