The framed sampler having a flower vine border encompassing a rectangular area with thirteen line verse surrounded by pictures including crowned lions, flowers, birds, basket of fruit, trees, man and woman with shepherds crook, dog and sheep. The top area central panel having doves, butterfly, birds on tree and squirrels. Housed in a period ribbed wood designed frame with gilt liner. SIZE: Sight: 16″ x 12″. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Joan B. Hanson, Fair Haven, N.J. CONDITION: Significant losses to verse stitching, losses in corners, border and other areas. 9-95847 (300-500)
