ANGLO-INDIAN TEAK CARVED CREST. Second half 19th century, India. The piece designed originally as a crest or splash guard for a cabinet. Carved overall with dense floral vinery, the center with a roundel, within which is carved a monkey flanked by mythical lions further flanked by songbirds, the ears with C-scrolls. SIZE: 15″ h x 48-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Very good. 9-29828 (100-150)
