CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY WING CHAIR. Last quarter 18th century, probably English. The serpentine crest-rail continuing to ogival wings centering the rectangular over upholstered back joined to conforming rolled arms centering a rectangular over upholstered seat with cushion raised on square chamfered frontal legs and back-swept rear legs, joined by a recessed box stretcher. SIZE: 45-1/2″ height of back, overall width 32″. CONDITION: Structurally very good condition overall with old surfaces. The back panel is exposed for examination. 9-97545 (1,500-2,000)
