FRANK KNOX MORTON REHN (American, 1848-1914) ALONG THE TIDAL INLET. Outstanding oil on canvas marshland coastal scene shows several sailboats hauling marsh hay in a tranquil marshland scene. Haystacks dot the marshland grass and several sailboats are seen in open ocean beyond. A colorful sky in shades of blue, yellow and pink. Several birds fly between the boats and a V-shaped flock is seen on the right side. Signed lower left “FKM Rehn”. Housed in a fine museum quality period style gilt and gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 16″ x 28″. CONDITION: Relined, some inpainting. Otherwise very good. 9-93903 (4,000-6,000)
