ORIENTAL IRON BOUND STORAGE CABINET. 19th century, China. The rectangular cabinet comprised of four stacking trays with cover fitted within a conforming base, each end with rectangular supports and scalloped returned joined by spiral twist iron rods. The sides bound with forged iron ring carrying handles. The whole with red stained surfaces and polychrome floral and foliate borders centering a similarly painted floral rondel. The whole with iron bands and studs. SIZE: 43″ h x 30″ l x 18-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Old surfaces intact. 7-73194 (200-300)
