FOUR MINIATURE ON IVORY PORTRAITS. 1) Half portrait of an unidentified woman, signed “Clarence W. Snyder 1935” (American, 1873-1948). A rectangular painting placed within a frame with oval window. 2) Portrait of Michelangelo signed “E. Melocchi” housed in a small brass frame. The back has writing “Michelangelo Autoritratto Galleria Uffiri Firenze”. 3 & 4) A pair of rectangular women in landscapes signed “E. Melocchi”. This also has from the same gallery as above after a painting by Mattier titled “Figlio di Luigi XV Diana”. Housed in brass frames and hung on a velvet easel frame. Other is from same gallery and artist titled “Figlio di Luigi XV Flora”. SIZE: 1) 4″ x 3″. Overall: 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. 2) 2-1/2″ x 2″. Overall: 2-3/4″ x 2-1/4″. 3 & 4) 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″.
