EDWARD JAMES FRAUGHTON (American, 1939-) “THE SPIRIT OF WYOMING”. Bronze action sculpture shows a cowboy riding a bucking bronco, one hand on the reins, the other on his lasso. Inscribed on top of bronze base “Wyoming Centennial 1890-1990”. On side “Edward J. Fraughton 1990 10/60”. The bronze mounted to a green polished marble base inset into a walnut wood box base. SIZE: Bronze: 18″ h x 19″ w. Incl. Base: 21″ h x 23″ at widest. PROVENANCE: Estate of Henry A. Rudkin Jr, (family of the founders of Pepperidge Farm). CONDITION: Very good. 9-98989 (3,000-5,000)
