TWO SIDED SCRIMSHAW TOOTH, “LIBERTY” AND “COLUMBIA”. Late 19th century. Engraved with maker’s (?) name “H. HOUGH” depicting “THE GODDESS OF LIBERTY” on one side with staff and flowing robes. The reverse depicting “COLUMBIA” seated with shield and American flag in her right hand. In background is a farming scene and harbor scene. SIZE: 6-1/2″ l.
