The signature has been authenticated and initialed on the back of the portrait by Charles Hamilton (noted authority). A clipped signature “Walt Whitman” and a Rockwell Kent print of Whitman. Attached to back is a First Day Cover “Famous American, 1940″. Housed in a gilt wood frame with white matte having three cutouts. SIZE: Total: 9-3/4″ x 13-3/4”.
