PROVENANCE: Signed certificate of provenance by Mme. Hengyi Aixinjueluo stating that to her recollection from the information that was provided to her by her ancestors this lot if from the collection of Crown Prince Aixinjuelue Pujun in late Qing Dynasty.

PAIR OF HUANGHUALI HORSESHOE BACK ARMCHAIRS. Chinese, 18th century. Each curved back with dowswept arms and outswept hand grips centering a shaped splat carved with chih lung dragons. Square seat with woven insert, raised on cylindrical legs with flattened box stretcher. SIZE: 39″ h x 25″ w x 21″ d. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Crown Prince Aixinjueluo Pujun (1886-1929), consigned by his granddaughter. Signed letter of provenance by Mme. Hengyi Aixinjueluo accompanies this lot. CONDITION: Each chair professionally restored with small replaced seat frame elements. Woven seats later replacements. Otherwise very good with nicely polished surfaces. 9-24089 (200,000-250,000)
