DANIEL RALPH CELANTANO (American, 1902-1980) SIX PENCIL DRAWINGS. 1) Large drawing shows fifteen people crowding into a subway. The drawing is against a 16 x 16 pencil grid. Signed lower right. 2) Pencil drawing of a man with Derby hat and overcoat. Pencil signed lower left. This is one of the central figures in #1 but in larger scale. 3 & 4) Two small pencil sketches which are unsigned and depict the left side of #1. 5 & 6) Two small unsigned pencil sketches which depict a group of people. SIZE: 1 & 2) 24″ x 19″. 3 thru 6) 6″ x 4″. PROVENANCE: Estate of the artist. CONDITION: Largest two with center folds and folds in bites on edge but generally good.
