ANTIQUE FERAGHAN SAROUK RUG CENTRAL PERSIA. Circa 1900. The central rust brown star medallion further centering a dusty pink radiating floral medallion all within a dusty pink field of meandering floral vinery and creams, turquoise, and greens within floral spandrels having light blue borders. The main border of angular palmette vinery on a dark brown ground within barber pole striped and floral guard borders. SIZE: 4′ 11″ x 3′ 5″. PROVENANCE: From an Ellsworth, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Even wear with slight oxidation. Good pile remains with fading to pinks and blues. Losses to one guard border. A very nice example from the turn of the century. 9-21929 (600-900)
