AMERICAN CARVED AND GILT PILOT HOUSE EAGLE. Mid 19th century. This fine example of a displayed eagle carved in pine from the solid, depicted on rock work plinth. SIZE: 30″ h, 64-1/4″ wingspan. CONDITION: Structurally very fine condition overall. Professionally regilded. Carved with well reticulated plumage, and well detailed eyes and beak.
