MONTAGUE DAWSON (English, 1895-1973) “EAST INDIAMAN UNDER FULL SAIL”. Outstanding large oil on canvas nautical scene shows a large ship sailing right to left angled toward viewer in full sail plying through green white tipped ocean. White cloud sky with blue sky breaking through over the ship. Signed lower left. Housed in a fine gilt frame with artist and title plaque. Several gallery labels affixed to reverse. SIZE: 28″ x 42″.
