FREDRICK JOHN MULHAUPT (American, 1871-1938) “GLOUCESTER HARBOR”. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows two two-mast fishing boats along side an L-shape dock with small boats. The green and red boat is in dry dock and being painted. Two other men work at end of dock. A two mast schooner with full sail goes left to right in the harbor. A hillside with many houses leads down to wharf side buildings. Signed lower left “Mulhaupt”. Titled and dated “Sept 1937” on back of canvas. Housed in its original gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 25” x 30”. CONDITION: Original, untouched. Very good. 9-27169 (40,000-60,000)
