AESTHETIC MOVEMENT EBONY AND GILT BRONZE CABINET. Last quarter 19th century, probably New York. The rectangular case with black marble top fitted within a brass molding cast with guilloches above the stepped conforming frieze over a central cabinet door mounted with a large bronze roundel cast with frolicking putti within a gilt bronze foliate wreath. The case panels all with cast foliate moldings, the interior fitted with two shelves all on a molded stepped plinth applied with cast foliate trim. SIZE: 41-3/4″ h x 48″ l x 19-1/4″ d. CONDITION: The cabinet in structurally good condition, with original marble and castings. Ebony veneer absent proper right side of plinth. 9-28562 (1,500-2,500)
