Ink and light color on silk, depicting a recluse appreciating a plum branch under a blossoming tree in a garden scene with rockery, his attendant carrying a plum holder to the side, signed “Hongshou,” with two artist’s seals “Chen Hongshou yin” and “Zhang Hou,” and one collector’s seal, wood box with extensive inscriptions.
