CLASSICAL GILTWOOD CONVEX MIRROR. First quarter 19th century. Gilt crest with displayed eagle on a rock pediment flanked by scrolling leaftips above the gilt molded surround mounted with spherules and a reeded ebony slip centering a convex mirror plate, all above a c-scroll leafy pediment. SIZE: 51″ x 32″. CONDITION: Gilding is dry and crusty, mirror with minor foxing, minor losses to gilding with original mirror plate and backboard. Some restoration. 9-95791 (2,000-3,000)
