TWO CARVED IVORY ITEMS. 19th century, India. The first, a carved sword in the form of a scimitar. The second, a scrimshawed tusk depicting a variety of wild cats typical to Africa, all polychrome decorated, mounted on a marble plinth. SIZE: Sword: 24″ l. Tusk: 11″ h. CONDITION: Sword with broken and repaired blade tip and with shallow chips in handle. Old age cracks throughout. Scrimshaw with nice patina and strong, vibrant colors. 9-29851 (500-800)
