GROUP OF FOUR ROYAL WORCESTER JAPANESQUE ITEMS. Late 19th Century. England. Including a pair of squat ewers with winged dragon gilt handles, the first an undecorated blank, the second gilt decorated overall with vines of moon flowers. Both with Worcester marked in underglaze green and with model number 1048 i underglaze green. The decorated ewer with registration number 21627, and printed “PATENT METALLIC”. A tower form matte glaze vase gilt decorated with a foliate sprig beside a simulated shuttered window. The foot rim gilt decorated with flower heads with Worcester mark in underglaze green beneath base. A chamber stick in the form of a classical urn mounted on the back of a tortoise. Marked in aubergine underglaze additionally with “PATENT METALLIC”. SIZE: Ewers 7-1/4″ h, vase 7-3/4″ h, chamber stick 4-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Tortoise with professional repairs to proper right legs.
