LOUIS VUITTON SMALL WARDROBE TRUNK. This example with original hardwood strapping and signature “LV” cover. Hinged lid opening to a leather lined interior fitted with a full complement of wooden garment hangers and with original fabric tie-down. Affixed with paper label with the Champs-Elysees address and serial number 806125, the brass lockplate with serial #051066. The front additionally marked with the painted initials of the owner “E.C.G.”. SIZE: 10-1/4″ h x 34″ l x 21-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Covering of the trunk has darkened and has craquelure resulting from the aging of the varnish finish. The leather carrying handle at the end is present but in need of restoration. Carrying handle at the front, the lockplate and the clasps are all intact and functional. Interior fittings are all intact; one leather tie-down is missing buckle end.
