AMERICAN RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED CHERRY BOOKCASE. Circa 1890. The center cabinet with acorn and oak-leaf carved frieze, the bowed cornice surmounted by brass gallery, fitted with a bowed glass door opening to an interior of four adjustable shelves, flanked by bookcase sections, the pilasters ropetwist and acanthus-carved, on a conforming base fitted with three aligned drawers on a molded plinth. SIZE: 78-1/2″ overall h. x 71″ w. x 20-1/2″ d. CONDITION: All original, including cast-brass hardware; brass gallery as seen; various scuffs and mars overall.
