CHRISTIAN HACKER MANSARD ROOF DOLL HOUSE. Circa 1880. Lovely doll house is painted in cream with salmon accents. Roof is lithographed paper simulating blue shingles. Has two brick chimneys with three dormer windows. Center doorway leads to balcony, which is flanked on either side by two double windows. Painted center door with ormolu door knocker and metal handle, flanked by two double windows. House also has simulated coining and opens to reveal two lower rooms and hallway. Kitchen has its original shelving and its original stove. Upper level is one large room. Top of mansard roof reveals two additional rooms with dividing wall. All rooms appear to have original wall paper. SIZE: House measures 30″ h x 25-3/4″ w x 12-3/4″ d. Upper room measures 23″ w x 8-1/2″ h x 10-3/4″ d. Kitchen measures 8-1/2″ w x 9-1/4″ h x 10-3/4″ d. Living room measures 9″ w x 10-3/4″ d x 9-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good plus with some flaking to paint, most notably to wood trim. Balcony appears to have had some paint touch-up or enhancement. The left rear bottom and right sides of house have some paint disintegration and discoloration. House has typical splitting of wood in various places. A superior example of this type of house. 1-12023 (4,000-6,000)
