JOHN MARIN (American, 1870-1953) “SMALL POINT, MAINE”. Large watercolor on paper impressionistic scene of a wooded point of land under blue sky. Signed “Marin 18” bottom right. Housed in a white painted frame with white matte. The whole watercolor is mounted so it is completely visible. On reverse is the original back label with title, date and signature. Also indicates that it was acquired by J. Zirinsky Apr. 9-1945. Also inscribed “O.K. Alfred Steiglitz”. Also the back retaining a Mark Borghi Fine Arts label. SIZE: 16″ x 19-1/2″.
