LUIGI CAVALIERI (Italian, 19th/20th Century) A SOCIAL GATHERING. Fine oil on canvas mounted on masonite lavish interior scene shows a man and a woman conversing while a woman serving tea looks on. Three men and a woman play cards at an adjoining table. Outstanding detailed costumes as well as interior furnishings including painted room screen, chairs and tables, rug and painting. Signed lower left “L Cavalieri Firenze”. Housed in a good gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 18-1/2″ x 27-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95320 (6,000-8,000)
