SHERATON CHERRY AND BIRD’S-EYE MAPLE CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1840. Probably New York state, rectangular top above the conforming case with mahogany crossbanded frieze, fitted with 4 drawers. The uppermost deep drawer with mahogany crossbanding over three graduated long drawers, all with bird’s-eye maple panels with cockbeaded edges. The case sides with recessed panels, the whole raised on ring turned legs on ball feet. SIZE: 44-1/2″ h x 46″ w x 20″ d. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished, brass handles are later quality examples. 9-96440 (750-1,000)
