RARE LOUIS VUITTON CABIN TRUNK. Late 19th, early 20th century, France. This small example with hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a liftout tray with compartments over a second larger wardrobe tray fitted with three compartments, the centermost with additional pullout tray above the lower felt-lined section with divider designed for shoes. The trunk with “LOUIS VUITTON” paper label within the lid and with “Paris/London/Nice/Cannes/Vichy and the serial #797175. This trunk also has “B.L.B.” monogram in black in a red rectangle. SIZE: 21″ h x 36″ w x 15″ d. CONDITION: Original covering intact as are handles, hardware, straps, etc. Very good overall. 9-29997 (8,000-12,000)
