PAUL VERNON (French, 19th Century) MEDITERRANEAN FISHERMAN. Oil on canvas scene shows a small sail fishing boat next to a smaller boat with nets out on tranquil blue sea. A small fishing village is seen on the edge of a flat coast. Signed lower right “Paul Vernon”. Housed in an antique gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 14” x 24”. CONDITION: Relined, restored, inpainting. Good. Painting was cleaned and the area with signature was left alone. 9-71529 (4,500-6,500)
