CIVIL WAR CANTEEN. Model 1859, flat-sided, Union canteen. Canteen throat is scratched with soldier’s name “W. W. TUTTLE (?)”. Canteen is a barn or attic find. Cover and sling are very dirty. Still retains original stopper and chain. CONDITION: Cover has a couple quarter-sized holes and has come un-sewn at top edge. 4-50496 JS86 (250-350)
