MARTIALLY MARKED COLT MODEL 1861 NAVY REVOLVER. Cal .36 perc. Usual configuration with 7-1/2” round bbl, one line New York address, brass trigger guard and backstrap with 1-pc walnut grips. The grips have a faint legible cartouche on the left side and tiny inspector initial on the various parts. SN 5618. CONDITION: Good, all matching including the wedge, no original finish remains being a medium gray patina overall with light yellow mustard patina on the trigger guard and backstrap. The cylinder is a matching gray patina with spots of rust pitting and retains about 25% naval battle scene. Five of the six safety pins are fine. The grips are sound with moderate to heavy wear.
