LOT OF TWO SCANDINAVIAN OFFICER’S SWORDS. (1) 31-1/4” straight dbl fuller blade is marked “E. SVALLING / ESKILSTUNA / crown / J.V. G.M” on the left ricasso. Both sides of the blade are etched at the rear half. The Swedish Triple Crown is on the guard. CONDITION: Blade is bright but has widely scattered spots of surface rust. Hilt is heavily worn with the wire missing and about a third of the leather is worn away. Scabbard has lost most of the black paint and has considerable surface rust and pitting. (2) “B.F. SVALLING / ROSENFORS” on the left ricasso. 28-3/4” straight single fuller blade is etched with an anchor on the right side and the crowned rampant lion on the left. The guard has the crown and anchor among military trophies cast in and is maker’s marked “MILIT:EKIP. / crossed swords / ANT:SOLAGE” on the quillion. CONDITION: Gray patina on the blade with spots of rust stains and pitting. Hilt retains about half of the orig gilt but is well worn on the grip. 4-54999-4 FS33 (200-400)
