LOT OF FIVE SWORDS. (1) Unidentified with etched blade & lightweight hilt. 30-1/2” single fuller blade. CONDITION: Fine overall with light pitting to the plated scabbard. (2) Unidentified medical officer’s sword with folding guard. 30-1/4” cruciform blade. Has proof marks but has not been identified. The catch for the folding guard and the covering for the grip are missing. CONDITION: Smooth gray patina on the blade. Tip of the scabbard is broken & there is moderate surface rust on the balance of the scabbard. Strong traces of gilt remain on the hilt. (3) “ISB” court sword. 32-1/2” straight single fuller blade. Has etched military themes on either side. Brass hilt has been silver-plated Wire wrap on grip is replaced. No scabbard. CONDITION: Mostly gray patina on the blade with traces of gilt in the etching, mixed with light to moderate pitting. Traces of silver remain on the hilt. (4) Unmarked lightweight German-style sword. 34” single fuller on right side of blade only. “….” on the right ricasso. Scabbard is missing. CONDITION: Scattered light pitting overall with strong traces of nickel-plating. Wrapping at the rear of grip is missing. (5) Blade and scabbard, probably German. 31-3/4” single fuller straight blade. Black painted scabbard with metal knot design at the throat. No grip parts except pommel. CONDITION: Bright blade, minor scratches on the scabbard. 4-54999-5 FS35 (300-500)
