AUSTRIAN SILVER GILT JEWEL CASKET. The box in the Renaissance style and elaborately encrusted with cabochon garnets and turquoise with miniature sculptures of knights at each corner. The all over chased floral design shows remnants of white and blue enamel. The jeweled handle features two knight’s heads. SIZE: 5″ wide by 4″ tall by 3 1/2″ deep. CONDITION: As previously noted, much of the enamel is missing and two of the garnet cabochons show cracks, probably from natural inclusions. 5-66477 (2,500-3,500)
