VERY SCARCE REMINGTON SMOOT 1ST MODEL WITH REVOLVING RECOIL SHIELD. Cal. 30. SN 394. Nickeled finish with 2-7/8” ribbed oct bbl with standard one line marking, 2-pc rosewood grips. Only about 650 of these were made during 1875. CONDITION: Good. Hammer has bright casehardening colors. Balance of metal has been polished with considerable pitting on top of bbl rib. Grips have been refinished. Bore is evenly pitted. Mechanically good. 4-59353 JH56 (1,000-1,500)
