DAUM NANCY PADDED AND WHEEL CARVED CROCUS VASE. The background is “hammered metal” or martele, which was produced by a wheel cutting. The crocus and stems were applied after the base was formed and layered. These additional portions of applied glass were then created using the wheel cutting technique. This particular example has wonderful lavender to gold to deep purple ground decorated with purple and red crocus flowers. Signed “Daum Nancy” in cameo. SIZE: 12″ t.
