EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) NUDE AT WOODLAND POOL. Fine large oil on canvas scene shows a nude woman standing with back to viewer at the edge of a woodland pool. She holds a shear cloth over the lower half of her body. Deep blue colored pool has light shining down on colorful woods edge. Signed lower right. Housed in a fine carved modern gilt frame with gilt name plaque. PROVENANCE: Fine private Long Island, New York mansion. SIZE: 37” x 24-1/4”.
