Oil on panel interior scene shows a man in red suit and coat seated in a green upholstered wood frame chair and reading from a leather bound book. The corner room setting shows part of a painting and wood walls. Signed lower left. Housed in a gilt molded wood modern frame. Back of the panel in old pen script has artist name, date of 1861 and has a passage in German. SIGHT SIZE: 5-3/4” x 4-3/4”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-72916 (4,000-6,000)
