MONUMENTAL SEVRES URN. Spectacular Sevres urn is magnificently painted with two beautiful maidens at a well surrounded by vegetation and several cupids. The scene extends completely around the base, with cupids on all sides. The neck is decorated with two panels, one with a nude and a cupid and the other with musical instruments done in gold enamel against a brown background. The bottom of the base is decorated with two panels, one with child or cupid and fish, the back with musical instruments. All of this sets on a brass or bronze foot with lion paw feet. The urn is topped with a porcelain lid with bronze pineapple finial. Underneath the lid is marked with the Sevres mark in black and “France” in red. Urn is artist signed “G. Fuchs”. SIZE: 48” t.
