REMINGTON ELLIOT 5-SHOT PEPPERBOX WITH ORIGINAL BOX. Cal. 22 RF. SN 8268. Nickel plated, very crisp bbl markings, 3” bbl, 2-pc walnut grips. Called by Remington their new “repeating pistol” 1863-70. This is the rarest of Elliot derringers, since only 30% of total production of all calibers were made in this model. Accompanied by its orig 2-pc black cardboard box with instructions in the lid. Box marked on bottom “REPEATING PISTOL / 5 Shots No. 22 Cartridge. / Full Plated / No.” with SN added in pencil. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains 97% of the bright plating. Grips show minor wear. Bores have light pitting. Mechanically fine. Box has repairs to the edges & corners of the top. 4-59341 JH63 (4,000-6,000)
